  • 1st Award,  Postgraduate Hatton Award Competition presented by the Continental European Division (CED) of  the International Association for Dental Research (IADR),  Bern 1990.
  • Invitation by NIST (US Department of Commerce) to present methods for testing dental materials in a symposium organized by the American Chemical Society, Las Vegas 1996.
  • 1st Award, T. Κoulourides Memorial Fund Competition presented by Procter and Gamble (Athens 1996, 2001, 2003). 
  • J. Morita Award for the best poster presentation, International Association of Dentistry for Children (IADC), Sydney 2005.
  • Wilmer Shouder Award presented by IADR (the highest international distinction in dental materials for the overall scientific achievements in the field), Baltimore 2005.
