Aim

The course introduces the students to the history of dentistry as well as to modern dental practice and contemporary profile of the dentist.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the 1st semester students should:

  • Be aware of the structure and function of the Dental School’s curriculum.
  • Be able to form an opinion on the profile and competencies of contemporary dentist.
  • Be able to understand how dental science developed over time.

Content and aims of each dental course/structure of Dental School’s curriculum. Profile and competencies of the contemporary dentist. History of dentistry.

  • Lectures.
  • Teaching through e-class.

Criteria for successful completion

  • Final written exams.
