Aim

The provision of basic knowledge and the introductory comprehension of Statistics, as applied to Dentistry and to Biomedical research in general.

Content

Necessity of teaching the course to the undergraduate dentistry program, Descriptive statistics, Basic concepts of statistical reasoning, T-test - confidence limits, Qualitative data analysis - X2 test, Other non parametric statistical tests, Statistical correlation and regression, Introduction to sampling, Evaluation of laboratory findings.

Criteria for successful completion

  • Successful final examination.
