Areas of scientific interest

Oral microbiology focusing on a) the pathogenesis and microbiology of periodontal disease and caries, b) the microbiota of young individuals and changes according to age as well as during orthodontic therapy, and c) the adhesion of select microorganisms to orthodontic materials. Other interests include oral halitosis and oral health related quality of life.
