Research Grants and Contracts

  • 2003- 2005: Member of the Greek scientific team, participated in the triennial European research project “The diagnostic validity of dental radiographic techniques for identifying osteoporotic patient (ΟSTEODENT project), funded by grants from the EC 5th Framework. Project participants were the universities of Manchester UK, Leuven Belgium, Malmö Sweden and Amsterdam the Netherlands
  • 2008-2011: Member of the Greek scientific team participated in the 7th Euratom Framework project SEDENTEXCT (Safety and Efficacy of a New and Emerging Dental X-ray Imaging Modality) from 2008-2011. As a result of this research program “Radiation Protection: Cone Beam CT for Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology. Evidence based guidelines” wasformally published in the European Commission’s “Radiation Protection”series(May 2012 No 172). Project participants were the universities Manchester UK , Leuven Belgium , Malmö Sweden, Cluj-Napoca, Romania and Vilnius Lithuania and the company Leeds Test Objects Ltd., Boroughbridge, UK.
