- 1981: DDS Dental School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece
- 1983‐1985: Clinical and theoretical training in Oral Surgery (staff member), in the Oral Surgery Dept, John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford, UK.
- September 1985: Master of Science degree in Medicine, Medical School, University of Oxford, UK.
- 1991‐1995: Following evaluation and recognition of the 2 years Hospital training in UK, by the Greek Ministry of Health, fulfilment of the remaining requirements for the newly recognized specialty of OMFS. One year general Surgery (Tzaneion General Hospital of Piraeus) and two years Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (University Dept of OMFS, Evangelismos General Hospital, Athens).
- 1995: State examinations and graduation with the title of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and inclusion in the specialty registry of the Ministry of Health.
- 1996‐ 1998: Postgraduate taught course (two‐years) in Oral Biology/Pathology, Dental Faculty, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
