30th virtual conference of the European College of Gerodontology, October 9-10, 2020

The Discipline of Gerodontology, School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), organises the 30th virtual congress of the European College of Gerodontology (ECG) on October 9-10th 2020, with the main theme “Healthy smiles, longer lives”.

The World Health Organisation considers oral health as a crucial element of healthy ageing and quality of life. However, oral health in older people is often neglected due to several barriers in daily care and access to the dentist. Experts from Europe, America, Asia and Australia will meet online, exchange ideas and recommend oral health promotion and treatment measures for the older and vulnerable population.

The congress under the auspices of the NKUA and the City of Athens includes an invited speakers programme, oral and e-poster presentations and the ECG research award competition. More information is available on the conference website www.ECG2020.eu
