1st webinar of the Athens Dental Students' Association live from Athens Dental School

 

The 1st webinar of the Athens Dental Students' Association (ADSA) with the topic: "How to evaluate scientific publications- An introduction to research" was held on Saturday June 13th, 2020, 11:00-14:30.

During the webinar, the basics of scientific publications' critical evaluation were analysed, through oral presentations by undergraduate and graduate students, and relevant mini- lectures from faculty members and PhD candidates of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Dentistry.

The Scientific and Organising Committee consisted of the faculty members: Anastassia Kossioni, Assoc. Professor of Gerodontology; Christos Rahiotis, Assoc. Professor of Operative Dentistry; Konstantinos Tosios, Assoc. Professor of Oral Medicine & Pathology; Eleni-Marina Kalogirou, PhD candidate; and the undergraduate students and members of the ADSA Board Rozita Emfietzoglou; Emmanouela Koumentou; Georgios Lagios; Ioanna Mitsika; Georgia Saranti; Leonidas Stergiadis and Athina Tosiou. The technical support was provided by Mr Angelos Bakas, IT Support of the School of Dentistry.

Many students and staff attended the webinar which was considered as very successful and innovative, as it was based on the recently succesfully applied e-learning technology.
